Romanian regulator Ancom opened a public consultation on use of the 410 and 450 MHz bands. The 450 MHz spectrum in question was previously used by Telemobil until March 2013, and Telekom Romania held the 410 MHz frequencies until the end of last year. Ancom is now looking at harmonising use of the spectrum in line with EU recommendations. The latter proposes the bands be used for broadband and narrowband digital mobile systems or for broadband digital radio applications for public security and disaster relief. Comments in the consultation can be submitted until 15 July.
