Advancements in 450 MHz Technology – Cyrus Technology Update
CM450XA Market-Ready, Whitelisted, with Official Reseller and Global Availability
Cyrus Technology proudly announces that the CM450XA is now market-ready and officially whitelisted by 450Connect. The Versorgerallianz 450 and B&E antec have been confirmed as the official resellers and distributors of the CM450XA, strengthening distribution and support for the energy sector in Germany. Additionally, the device is available worldwide for 450 MHz initiatives, enabling global deployments and collaborations.
When asked about this milestone, Javier Holguin, Chief Commercial Officer, commented:
“We’re really proud of this development. The first mass-production units arrived in July 2025, and Friendly User Tests with leading energy suppliers confirmed the device’s performance and reliability. By the end of August, nearly 3,000 devices had already been sold, which really shows the strong demand and the confidence users have in the CM450XA.”
The importance of this step was also highlighted by Marc Schlossmann, Head of Engineering at Versorgerallianz 450:

Showcasing an End-to-End 450 MHz Ecosystem
At Critical Communications World 2025 (CCW) in Brussels, Cyrus Technology—together with COCUS, Airspan, and Frequentis—presented the first live end-to-end MCPTx solution in the 450 MHz band.
The joint demonstration combined:
- Airspan’s 450 MHz Open RAN eNodeB
- COCUS core network
- Frequentis MCX platform
- Cyrus CM450XA rugged devices
“This complete ecosystem shows our technical readiness, interoperability, and mission-critical reliability for utilities, public safety, and critical infrastructure sectors,” Holguin adds. “Working with our partners through the alliance formed in 2024, this is an important milestone for the 450 MHz community. We’re actively enhancing our 450 MHz product portfolio and remain fully committed to contributing to the 450 MHz ecosystem. There are some exciting developments on the horizon. That’s all I can share at this stage, but I’m confident good things are coming.”
Gregor Lipperheide, COO of COCUS, also underlined the significance of the joint effort:
“The presentation of our joint 450 MHz-based MCPTx solution at CCW in Brussels was an important milestone. The full demo setup is now available for further testing and development at the COCUS lab in Düsseldorf. It will next be showcased live at the 450 MHz Alliance x Comarch Conference, taking place 29 September – 1 October 2025 in Kraków, Poland.
