RAD Joins 450 MHz Alliance

Will Expand Use Cases with Industrial IoT and Edge Computing
Dec 07, 2021

Tel Aviv, December 7, 2021 – RAD, the industry pioneer in Industrial IoT (IIoT) and Edge Computing solutions, today announced it has joined the 450 MHz Alliance.

RAD’s Industrial IoT portfolio, and the SecFlow IIoT Gateway with LPWAN, PLC and Edge Computing in particular, presents an all-in-one backhaul solution for large-scale automated networks. Such networks are used in power and water utilities, smart cities, smart energy, smart agriculture, building automation, and Industry 4.0.

The addition of the 450 MHz band (also known as LTE 450) to the already rich connectivity options of the SecFlow opens the door to new IIoT use cases. These use cases stand to benefit from 450 MHz’s longer range and better signal penetration by delivering increased coverage, including in-building/indoor and underground deployments.

“We are very excited to join the 450 MHz Alliance,” said Ilan Tevet, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at RAD. “We believe that the 450 MHz spectrum is key to growing the adoption of IoT and intend to take an active role in promoting relevant use cases.”

“RAD’s experience in IIoT will greatly contribute to developing our ecosystem,” said Igor Virker, Managing Director at the 450 MHz Alliance. “I’m thrilled to welcome RAD to the Alliance and look forward to its contributions as an IIoT solutions provider.”
