Closing of Acquisition
We are pleased to announce the closing of our acquisition of the Cinterion® line of IoT products and services from Thales, a Paris, France-based global leader in aerospace, defense, and digital identity and security.
Combining the strengths of Telit and Thales IoT brings together some of the best R&D and IoT talent globally and reinforces our innovation capabilities built on three decades of leading IoT technologies.
For our global customers and partners this means direct access to a growing array of mission critical cybersecure IoT products, services and solutions, essential to continued success in both new and existing markets.
The transaction includes Thales’ portfolio of:
- Cellular wireless communication modules
- Gateways
- Data (modem) cards ranging from 4G LTE, LPWAN to 5G
- IoT platform services
In addition, Thales’ automotive products division joins us as a focused business unit.
Transaction and Integration
The transaction and integration, originally announced and begun July 29, 2022, establishes Telit Cinterion as the leading Western provider of IoT solutions, expanding the company’s presence in growing industrial IoT segments and end markets, including:
- Security
- Energy
- Health
- Telematics & tracking
- Mobile broadband
With the integration now nearly complete, we stand ready to respond more expertly to the growing demand for cybersecure IoT solutions, modules, IoT platform services and cellular connectivity.
