Polish regulator UKE is returning to the issue of the tender to award frequencies in the band 450 MHz, released by the expiry of Orange Poland’s licence at the end of 2016. UKE is holding a consultation on the draft tender conditions and will accept comments until 14 February. The tender will award frequencies in the ranges 452.5-457.5 MHz and 462.5-467.5 MHz with a licence validity until 31 May 2033.
For part of the spectrum, the ranges 457.0-457.5 MHz and 467.0-467.5, UKE has set later dates for the launch of services in fourteen areas, with the latest date being 01 February 2027. The condition for participation in the tender is a requirement of telecommunications infrastructure investments of at least PLN 100 million in 2014-2016. Operators from the same capital group can submit only one bid.
