The intelligent PYLOCX® door and sensor monitor redefines security, providing real-time, fail-safe protection.

As the digitalisation of critical infrastructures advances rapidly, so does the demand for physical and digital security. The new PYGUARD from Steinbach & Vollmann (STUV) enables operators of 450 MHz networks to meet these requirements more effectively.

PYGUARD expands the PYLOCX® smart access solution to include IoT-based monitoring and remote control in real time, offering a fail-safe system that can be fully integrated into existing 450 MHz environments. The system communicates via its own SIM cards using LTE M, CAT 1 or NB IoT technology, and secure data transfer is facilitated via encrypted MQTT connections.
The robust, IP65-certified housing and the option of mains or battery power (with a battery life of up to five years) make the PYGUARD the ideal solution for exposed and hard-to-reach locations. Operators receive a ready-to-use, plug-and-play solution that combines easy integration, reliable alarms and comprehensive status monitoring.

Benefits for operators: Security + new business potential
Maximum availability and crisis resilience for radio stations and infrastructure locations, in line with KRITIS requirements.
– Gain asset transparency and controllability through live status monitoring, alerting and logging.
– Offer PYGUARD as an additional service to end customers in the energy, utilities or industrial sectors for their own KRITIS protection. This enables you to create real added value in the 450 MHz network and tap into new revenue potential through security and monitoring solutions.

The combination of PYGUARD and PYLOCX® enables a comprehensive security strategy. PYGUARD monitors and reports status changes, while PYLOCX® secures and documents physical access. Both systems can be easily integrated into existing access control systems, offering operators maximum flexibility and security for their 450 MHz infrastructure.

STUV stands for ‘Security Made in Germany’, focusing on technical maturity and long-term operational reliability, as well as fully 450 MHz-compatible integration.
