Druid Software Joins the 450 MHz Alliance
Druid Raemis 5G & 4G core platform and the Neutral Host / MOCN-GW (Multi-operator core network Gateway) solution for RAN sharing will be a great addition to the 450 MHz Alliance ecosystem of partners, helping to make digital transformation more affordable, easier to manage and more secure for Utilities, Smart metering and Industrial use cases.
WICKLOW, IRELAND and San Diego, Californica – February 17th, 2023 – Druid Software, the leading provider of private cellular core software and Neutral Host solutions, announces today that they are joining the 450Mhz Alliance to further enhance the work they have been doing in helping Utilities to improve the usage and attractiveness of the 450 MHz band through collaborating with its members, stakeholders and its key industry organizations.
The Druid Raemis core platform is a market leading 3GPP compliant core network supporting 5G SA, NSA and 4G with unique features designed specifically for critical communications. For example, the platform is differentiated by its ability to easily prioritize and “slice” devices while providing them with a guaranteed quality of service. Interoperability with any small cell RAN vendor, with 35 x 5G small cells tested with Raemis to date, gives partners greater options to choose from indoor or outdoor specialists. Raemis scales up as easily as it scales down, enabling the setup of small or very large private networks.
Druid also adds value to smart metering use cases for Energy providers with the Raemis MOCN (Multi-operator core network) gateway providing RAN (radio access network) with secure dedicated cellular connectivity delivery in remote areas for multiple cellular networks, Public or Private networks alike.
This enables Utilities, Oil & Gas companies to drive efficiencies enabled by RAN sharing, with coverage provided by multiple carriers in remote areas on the Raemis MOCN-GW.
The Druid Raemis MOCN GW also enables resiliency and load balancing which is key for business critical use cases for Utilities. Mobile Network Operators can now address business critical opportunities they won’t normally be able to, by bringing their spectrum to these solutions. These use cases would otherwise not be economically feasible for a carrier to deploy on towers.
